Activity: One Page Level Design Redesign
Notes:
Today I tried to redo my level design while also addressing some of the concerns of my peers.
I tried to add more information for the programmer while also keeping it as clean as possible. I only added important texts, otherwise I wanted to keep it to the visual interpratation. Therefore I changed some assets to be more representative of their functions. I didn't want to implement some sort of Key or anything like that, however I wanted to programmer to figure it out just by looking at the image. It also makes the design more clean and easier to read. I also highlighted the text so programmer has stronger motivation to actually read it.
I also didn't cover some of the issues. For instance the guide to the player on what to do. I believe that it should be clear from the design of the level itself. It might also be more fun (to the player) to investigate the area and figure it out just by the clues from the level.. ie. the lighting of the statues.
Overall I believe the design should be clearer, less chaotic and much more plesant to the reader and the programmer as well.
